'to save ... means to set something free into its own presencing'
to leave another in the essence which reveals itself anew without a goal or end
the bud has no intent to bloom it blooms
the flower does not just appear from nowhere it was already in the bud
flowers... all Nature continue to presence
'so you - like buds, blossoms'
hence
to befriend, to love is to invite, not intrude you welcome the other to live into themself as being-free
*
we are not just objects in space we are movements we are becomings we are presencing
presencing is not located anywhere - it meets itself everywhere whether we realize it or not... seeing it, it has already been seen seeing it, we have already been seen
we are disclosing itself we are hiding itself in relationship intertwined - yet without the self being lost
no leaf the same no voice the same no wave the same... no you other than you
presencing is not erased in oneness rather oneness enhances the particular radiance of presencing being-free
*
'the Word became flesh' hidden-otherness shines through flesh - brightness appears through bodies... seen in eyes
yet more... through contemplative attention the whole body of another can be seen irradiated with the unseen
the light lights up skin and bone... flesh seen as translucent
*
each of us regardless of creed, race, nationality, gender... shares a single hiddenness impenetrable
by passivity we experience the unavailable - until the hiddenness comes out...
hiddenness... not just human... beings seen and unseen
this requires a capacity to not act, to wait, to linger to see what appears without being able to know what shall appear or to name what did appear - the capacity of contemplation, therefore, is essential to objectless knowing
*
we cannot know about hiddenness for about implies distance... we can know it - for knowing means intimacy
*
we do not draw hiddenness out into the light - if we try to hiddenness retreats moving farther away
*
grace is never gotten only given gift
the other reveals herself to me as gift as given as not-other... hiddenness in disguise... but i see she is seen... which is what hiddenness waits for - hiddenness becomes seen when seen and seer and seen appear in a single unveiling
*
to love is to respect, more 'reverence', hiddenness which is aloneness - not as being by oneself... being-with (self is self-in-relationship, thereby hiddenness is receptive to itself)
mystics have said 'God beyond God' while due to hiddenness we can say of another - 'I see you beyond you'... thereby, you can silently invite the other to return the seeing
things fit together because of the solitude
beings appear from the hiddenness without losing hiddenness
to love is to evolve to sense and treasure the hiddenness, the aloneness aware of it being a reflection of one's own solitude - of God
*
depths converge with depths
echoes resound together from over the horizon
mountains flow into mountains rivers into rivers sky into sky
*
only by another being being-unknown can we reach across the known to touch without losing ourselves - and know God in God's hiddenness which is our hiddenness
'Yes - Human beings are the face of God.'
with the reaching hiddenness reveals itself more as hiddenness, solitude as solitude - inwardly luminous aloneness, self-shining not for being inside but being-intimacy
*
to rejoice in another's worth we see the other as depths we cannot plumb - yet we can love
so hiddenness summons by expressing its aloneness in the being-intimacy... called, we are, thereby, to love the more and, thereby, wish to love the more - for taste leads to taste
if we could penetrate solve the hiddenness, intrude into the solitude such increase of love would be impossible - we could only love what we have known not what is yet appearing - hence we could not love
*
for love to thrive there must be some doubt, uncertainty as to who or what the other is - so the other never becomes one among the familiar - she is continuing revelation, theophany
she is always one no one has seen before
i met you yesterday... who are you today? say, and I will never know... let me wait, not-knowing and your beauty will appear for you shine... fresh and untouched by time
i adore you the more for the hiddenness and solitude which I can see but cannot explain cannot name, but I can love, can adore - and i do
