Conscious Closeness with God

Enjoying the Presence

Page 3

Living with conscious closeness with God, we live as intended to live, we live a truly human life. This the Psalm 16 reminds us of, as the Psalmist expresses his closeness to God: “I have come to you for refuge” (v. 1); "I said to the LORD, 'You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you'” (v. 2); "LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing/You guard all that is mine"(v. 5); "I know the LORD is always with me/I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me" (v. 8); "You will show me the way of life/granting me the joy of your presence/and the pleasures of living with you forever" (v. 11) [NLT].

Today, affirm the closeness to God that you were created to enjoy. Think of ways to live that closeness more consciously and habitually.
