Bowing before the god of dogma or goddess of institutional religion is much easier than getting intimate with the Life of Christ. And in our culture such popular religiousness costs a little inconvenience~nothing more. In fact, in most churches I have known, one can be seen as a faithful church member and, yet, remain totally asleep in the dark~dead to the Life of the Spirit.

What have you given up to live in the Light? Is there anything you need to surrender, to let go of, to live in the Light?
How can the darkness that persons love in opposition to the Light be not just irreligious things, matters we might socially regard as evil or sinful, but religious things that many consider being a faithful Christian?
