Wisdom Saying
To every person on earth, I say, if you are not content, it is because God is not with you as you need Him, not with you as He would be with you, as you must have Him. You need Him as your body never needed food or air, need Him as your soul never hungered after joy, peace, or pleasure.

Scripture I Timothy 6.6
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. (NLT)
A devout life does bring wealth, but it's the rich simplicity of being yourself before God. (The Message)
Suggested Reflection
Are you struggling with any discontentment? What is the link between contentment and your relationship with God? ... being yourself before God? How does this differ from trying to make yourself content? Do you think that by drawing closer to God, you would experience more contentment?
Paul writes of "true godliness" alongside contentment. What is "true godliness" contrasted with "false godliness"?
